I bought a PC with some new and used parts. I posted on r/buildapc that I had some issues with micro-stutters in some games like Valorant and CS 2. I am not sure if the micro-stutters are game related or due to my PC. I was using the XMP profile in BIOS, but I’ve read that AMD CPU’s don’t handle RAM frequency beyond 6400 MHz. I also got a reply that XMP profile is meant for Intel CPU’s.
I disabled XMP but it seems that it didn’t get rid of micro-stutter. I’ve been using XMP profile for 2 months without blue screens or crashes, but I’m unsure now if it might cause problems down the road.
I haven’t done RAM tuning before and I don’t know where should I begin with.
I added pictures what my BIOS settings are at stock and with XMP profile. I also added Zentiming and AIDA64 reports if it’s any help. Would my best option be to enable XMP profile, set “system memory multiplier” to manual and change it to 60 for 6000 MHz? Should I also change some timings or reduce voltage? It’s running at 1.4 V with XMP enabled.
