I downloaded Afterburner (with the goal to undervolt) because I noticed recently the fan was kicking on loudly during low demand games .I saw this weird pattern of spikes. Can anyone help me make sense of what may be happening? Thanks !

check on hwinfo/ab monitor page how the hotspot is doing under some load (games or time spy), and let me know the temp max numbers
most likely an issue with thermal paste, but lets have some numbers first

RTX 3080 10GB Zotac Amp Holo Owner here, I see the spikes as well on my end and I assume this is normal.
On my end, if there’s no movement or just straight up idle, my clocks stay the same/straight on the graph, but if I scroll through the web or watch a YouTube there’s some spike. I’m assuming it’s just the GPU working and making graphics or sending signals to the monitor to render.
