You may have if you were coming from a 3060, but in general (pretty much) no one will hate a 2 generation upgrade.

We dont like the card because it is basically a 3060ti with dlss 3 and therefore has 0 generational improvement.

the 4060 has been a great card. I’m playing all my games at 2k high/ultra settings with 60+ fps

Yo I’m still on my 1060 🫠
It’s 90% faster than your previous GPU in the worst case scenario. When using DLSS 3 its 150% faster. And all this while using 50W less. Based on these numbers, this is a better upgrade than me upgrading from a 3090 to a 4090.
Who cares about some toxic people will think, especially the AMD die hards who will screech at first sight of anything green. (Not arguing against the value of AMD cards but they are not savior of the masses and Nvidia cards are still better in some areas)

It would only be a questionable purchase if someone with 3060 or 3060ti does this, it’s not even a sidegrade, feature grade if you insist.

Great for you! Enjoy the new hardware. As for the old card, I’d recommend storing it if you’re looking to make more builds or get into PC building, or selling it. The 2060 can still go for quite a bit of money.
