My whole extended family asks what I want and I tell them videogames and they say those are too expensive so I ask for gift cards towards them and they say they don’t like to buy gift cards cuz they’re boring, so I end up with terrible dad joke t shirts and crap I will never use and is a waste of money.

I remember my last gift too. mainly cause it was a pity gift. we were invited to an XMAS party I was 11 years old. everyone invited to the party had an invitation which also meant when your name was called you would go up and get your gift.
I didn’t get a gift my name wasn’t called even tho I had an invitation. the pity gift was probably worse than not getting a gift it was a pencil case. no child wants a pencil case. no one uses a pencil case.
