I’m not sure how long it actually took, but it was awhile before I figured out you could just pull out your gun during quest dialogue. For most of my first playthrough I just sat there listening to peoples multiple paragraph speeches or attempts to bargain, even if I made up my mind to wipe them out.

That you can walk up to mines and disable them and get engi xp as opposed to doing it with your cyberdeck and getting int xp
acuet
Yeah, no find a big car with a trunk and place inside.
No-Bookkeeper-5285
Why it breaks when you clearly just slide the gun out of it is beyond me.

That was one of the very first gameplay elements they showed in their 2019 “Deep Dive” trailer.

I just found out that you can switch the skip dialogue to hold to skip and its so much faster +300h
Guacamole735
How? That’s literally in the trailer for the game….
I didn’t figure this out until the first bossfight In PL

When you hold the button to take out currently equipped weapon, it plays the first equip animation. Least it does on keyboard if you hold b

If you’re a techi you can make it friendly and it will shoot anyone hostile to you, a Netrunner can control them remotely and a high body can rip them off. Its really cool different builds can interact with them differently

If you’re trying to get both Engineering and Solo (body) XP you can sneak up on it, disable it with tech and then rip it off with str. It’s what I’ve done on every playthrough that focuses on those 2 stats.

Pretty much finished most of Phantom Liberty before realizing those crates that get dropped around town contain great stuff.
At first I thought it was just some random occurence to give the people of dog town to fight over.

Sorry but I knew about that from right at the very beginning of the game from the trailers and gameplay they released.
Now as to how many times I have actually done it, well I have played netrunners mainly so never had the ability to rip the guns out and use them.
But don’t ask me how long it took until I realised I could hack a camera look through the various cameras and use quickhacks on the people I could see. Yeah I did it in the storyline missions but I didn’t realise it in the open world for a long time.

Reminds me of ripping off turrets in Crysis 2.

I’m lvl 60 and had no idea.

I thought gigs were the last activities in the game. Didn’t know about the ncpd scanner jobs
bryan_pieces
I’m at Meet at embers as well and I feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface of this game. I just stopped doing main story and am exploring the city and doing side quests

thats honestly fair. who runs at a turret?
lazerblam
That you can switch car headlights on and off! which also does the bike tyre lights lol

I just found out you can stash bodies in the backs of vans like two days ago

After the rescue Saul mission as male V, Panam rejects you in the motel room. But you can get a kiss from her in the morning after. Just as she’s about to leave on the bike, you get a timed dialogue. Activate it to get a kiss from her.

4th playthrough: the Arasaka float sabotage. I had no idea how easy it was to sneak in by stealing that van. I always started with the guys on the balcony.
4th playthrough: you can call on the Aldecados for the final mission.
3rd playthrough: the fight with Oda. For some reason I never scanned the room to see his foot prints when he’d disappear.
3rd playthrough: you can drop your wanted level by running into a store.
3rd playthrough: hoarding clothes adds up for capacity. I was hissyfitting for the longest time about my inventory, “WTF?? I HAVE 3 GUNS HOW AM I AT MAX… *sells tons of clothes* Ohhhhh.”
2nd playthrough: who the fuck would waste their time with Sandevistand?? Ahaha jackasses. *watches ONE video.* Ohhhhh.
2nd playthrough: Takemura was NOT fucking around when he said to knock four times.
2nd playthrough: you can change Silverhand’s appearance. (Well, only one other option…)
1st playthrough: didn’t know how to use cyberhacks properly. Didn’t even really use them until after I beat the game for the first time.
