Apparently it’s a Ryzen 7000 series something

  1. i don’t see the problem.. if you use super glue, it’ll be harder to get it out come upgrade time

  2. Eziolambo

Instead of thermal paste, you must have used thermal glue.

Direct DIE without any mounting frame and now cracked chips?

Has to be a 7800x3D/7800x or lower, it has only one core chiplet.

  4. This must be fake, no way someone this dumb would know how to record a video.

Am I looking at a sellotaped CPU missing it’s top?

“I built it myself”. Yeah, sure did. 👍

My right honourable friend here was playing 4d chess. You see if you put thermal paste on a processer it sends the heat across more efficiently, right? So it might work the other way and speed up the processor!

Y’all really be dumber than a sack of potatoes.
    Y’all must eat Elmers glue.
Y’all really must bathe in bleach.
Y’all must nail board on your feet for shoes.
Y’all really need to be locked up.

I think the problem is that you are supposed to keep the cooler screwed on forever so nobody has to see this again

Obviously, someone destroyed their CPU delidding it and thought they’d make a cringe video for tons of karma. I highly doubt anyone is stupid enough to actually do that.

Where is the mounting frame? Some many cheap and good options on the market these days…

Are people using superglue as thermal paste and ceramic gloves to remove glass covers?

I had an AM4 chip pull completely out of the socket when removing a cooler a few months ago. The thermal paste had become quite dry and was acting as a glue. I was extremely lucky that not a single pin was bent. Now I always make sure to twist the cooler back and forth to loosen it up before pulling.

FLEX SEAL new FLEX CPU TAPE get yours today!

Also helps if you warm up your processor before pulling ANY cooling unit.

  16. I just installed the same cooler too… Does this say something about the kind of people purchasing it? Is it like BMW drivers?

  17. Lucacg00

    I thought this was a S462/A CPU for a second 🤦‍♂️

    But yeah this sucks.

Whoever did this should go to jail

Delidded the CPU…. then removed the retention bracket as if it were a poorly designed Intel bracket that doesn’t apply the pressure evenly to the chip.

Yesh. it’s like they read “How to get better thermals on CPU” and applied all the wrong Intel Chip tips to an AMD CPU.
