I hope our characters start to look less human as we add more cyber ware.

I wouldn’t mind this, if they incorporated proper empathy/cyberpsychosis into the game like it is in the source TTRPG. In the TTRPG going cyberpyscho is an immediate “game over” for your character. The player loses permanent control of them, essentially becoming an NPC. I think it would be awesome if you actually had to balance your cyberware and make sure you don’t go too overboard.

I feel you, but within the rules of the game and the tabletop game that character is no longer playable by you.
I do have to agree with you that cybernetics should alter the appearance of the character. Or you should at least have the option to change the look of an implant.
And i hope enemies i meet with that tech are equally easy to take out.
I kinda want the main series Cyberpunk games to stay close to where they’re at with a bit more stuff, but I’d really like to see stuff like this in a less RPG-focused game.

In the next game there should be more exotic cyberware. Because in canon you can be literally anything if you have enough money.

I just hope the next game’s MC is a netrunner and it gives us real net running and not just quick hacks. Net architecture dungeons full of hell hounds and liches would be a blast.

Pretty sure this would mean another “point of no return” kind of mission where we only get to play this as an endgame scenario and never live after it, forever stuck in the “Meet Hanako at Embers” mission.

You literally could not walk into buildings or get in cars. It would lock you out of the coolest areas in the game.
Only way this would be possible is if all walls were destroyable. Which would be horrendously difficult to code. Bc having an entire building collapse because of your actions is not what devs want.
I hope it doesnt cause that would propably be a nightmare to make/implement as an option

Unpopular opinion…I fricken hated that design.
I’m still waiting on the current game to be playable. Somehow I lost a bunch of save progress and the game just tells me “an error has occurred, check the logs, lol” and I had to load a save from two hours earlier? Enemies despawn as soon as I step half a mm out of the objective area and don’t respawn unless I load my game again? I’m waiting for cyberpunk 3.0 to continue playing at this point

you should look up what happens to people who use those heavily weaponized bodies like the dragoon. it’s not pretty. you don’t want it.

so you want the option to go full borg which would be cool, I want them to expand on the lifepath system and make them actually mean something for a playthrough so each feels different that and incorporate the role system from the TTRPG into the game
