Love how they added this, you only get the dialogue if you chose to tell the truth and ignore the possible AI that warns you before the meet. Completely threw me for a loop, I wonder what else they added. Replayed it three times just to make sure it wasn’t random dialogue.

I seen this dialogue in other quests too but I used console to obtain the deck way earlier.
It weirded me out for a bit actually. Because it knows whats done to the Peralezes is irreversible and practically inevitable. But you do it anyway because it was the right thing to do, and the Canto… gives you respect ig? in its own condescending way. Why didn’t even try to belittle me or something.
There are random dialogues it plays at random quests. Dont think of it much.
How do I get that?
I wish Canto had more things to say. It’s nice having an extra companion.
In the mission(s) with Panam when you’re going after the Raffen and Nash it will comment when she’s barking orders at you.
You know I sat the other night thinking about the silverhand engram.
From the part of mind I bury crap in that I don’t want to think about a thought rang out.
If the voodoo boys could extract part of silverhands psyche that means he’s a program but not just a program a sentient one.
He’s A.I and V does all some of fuckery and crazy shit on its say so.
The real silverhand was killed as this learning a.i came into existance.
It really doesn’t matter that it can share information about its source with the person it’s interacting with because its all code.
Now for the part unsettled me, if he’s a one of a kind A.i and you do the ending for silverhand, it’s kinda gone very dark because it’s like giving the keys to the sweetshop for the fat kid.
As an A.I human nature wouldn’t matter and neither would the fact his source was a psychopath.should it ever figure any of that out its a recipe for an extinction level shitstorm.
I don’t want to get spoiled if it’s about phantom liberty but what is Canti mk.6 AI ?? I played the whole story twice and never had an AI telling me anything
On another note, does the Erebus SMG talk as often as the Canto? Does V still reply to it about being a chatty construct?
I tried to figure it out myself but most YouTube videos modded so you could equip both, and the wikis are unreliable copy pastes.
Wait what this deck talks?
The dialogue isn’t unique to this mission. It says this line during Shot By Both Sides when you help Bree Whitney as well.
The guy you look at standing on the balcony by the hand rail, zoom in on him next time. You’ll find someone interesting.
As far as I know, it was never confirmed that AIs are actually behind what’s happening in Dream On.
Although, there are plenty of hints to it, of course (e.g. when V touches the screen, it glows the “same” ominous red and V blackouts, bit Peralez doesn’t see anything). But still not enough to say anything definitive.
Unless I’m missing something big from PL (haven’t finished it yet)
I wish the canto was a bit better, it’s a very cool item but it doesn’t seem worth
