I would say the game taught me that life is all about pain and misery but I already knew that.

  2. Knightmareco

Technically, all Cyberpunk content is a cautionary tale. And this game teach us that there are no happy endings.

  3. WelcomeToNightCity

Yes, it shows us the steep price of freedom.

  4. Astro4545

By the true standards of the term, no. But you can definitely make arguments that aspects of it are educational in nature.

  5. Practical_Ass_3066

I mean, did you know someone could be killed by >!striking them with a dildo!< before playing the game?

  6. MrSelfDestrucct

  7. Fluffylici0us

Yes, you learn a lot about capitalism.

  8. DankRopes

It’s about showing us the forces of fuckin entropy and why we gotta burn these cities

  9. CMDR-Validating

It shows what happens when we privatize everything and remove governmental oversight

  10. RedditOfUnusualSize

Depends on whether you think “late stage capitalism” is a topic of serious academic enquiry, I suppose . . .

  11. ChiefQueef-2

In some ways, yes. The entire premise is a very real possibility in the future we’re headed in

  12. Sergius047

Yeah,it teaches you to either live as a nobody or die as a legend(idk if i got that phrase right i played it in german)

So, c2077 is kind of in the same genre as brave new world or 1984. It has merit in the same kind of dystopian warning about societal missteps and the narrative stands up to interpretation.

I wouldn’t say it’s educational in the same way as a textbook is, but like catcher in the rye? Yeah totally.

  14. Tuckerbot1

It’s taught me that killing people can solve almost every issue you have!

All games are educational, as they help to develop your problem solving skills as well as training your coordination and reflexes. For this game specifically though, while the message has been somewhat toned down in order to reach market, it teaches about the dangers of unfettered capitalism.

I’m a guy who truly believe cyberpunk is the future we are heading to, it’s not just education but it’s the truth game

  19. GamersGen

actually game thought me a lot. Different things

  20. pichael289

It teaches you that corporate interests are opposite human interests. Greed and unfettered capitalism will doom us. Hopefully it will get people interested enough in politics to oppose the shit that leads to this, it’s a tipping point in the US and pushing in the correct direction can lead to a few years of equilibrium that could allow us to get ahead of this shit before it consumes us. Or at least before it gets to the point a bloody revolution is necessary before it’s too late. Its not looking good though, the dark future has as many people wanting it to happen as those resisting it. And it’s super easy to convince them to become extremist. Power must rest with the people, and fucking corporations are not people despite a certain ruling that says otherwise.

  21. zzzzebras

Educates you on the danger of unregulated capitalism I suppose

  22. HawkeyeP1

The entire thing is a satirical piece about corporate manipulation, power, and corruption

  23. RickityCricket69

Yes. choices have consequences. some worse than others. also attention to detail, and being nice goes a long way. just ask Meredith Stout

  24. Lux_Operatur

It’s a historical documentary about our future.

  25. hardlyreadit

It taught me never to believe a company, even if they have a good track record

  26. angelfirexo

Educational and a huge warning for humanity. We already see the incredible corruption with corporations. I’d say we are not far from Cyberpunk. That’s why we got cities to burn samurai.
