Fire on them and get them into combat, after that you can swipe the gun and just run far away.
I’m not sure if you have to actually hit one of them but I’m sure a punch will also work.

I only figured that out by accident the first time, by clicking a dialogue choice I didn’t mean to, next thing I knew, I was fighting with the whole block party. LOL
Now, I win the shooting competition, THEN kill everyone. Gotta establish dominance over those fake patriots.

Make sure to talk to them first but not ask about the competition if you’re like me and don’t wanna see failed quests.
Just opening fire will fail the quest but you can take the gun. If you talk to them first, it will complete and then you can shoot them as long as you don’t leave the area.

Yep, I grabbed it and used it to kill half of them, then ran up to the roof and sniped the rest. All while the music was playing; fun fight. I hate these patriot idiots to begin with.

Yeah that guy in the corner had an attitude that got him and his buddy’s zeroed, I did quicksave to play the lil game though, I don’t know what I like better, him getting humbled or death.
