Meh, see if he can go lower. You can buy something like that for £70 here in 2nd hand store CEX and you would get 24 month warranty
Cave_TP
nay, a 470 would have gone for the same
blueangel1953
It’s a dinosaur and absolutely not worth it in 2023.
Bauticba
I’m in argentina btw, there isn’t much you can get here
Sad_Drop_9674
For a low end gaming machine…sure. I replaced my 1050ti with a 3090ti. But the 1050 was still legit enough for a lot of games
737Max-Impact
Not worth it. You’re scraping the bottom of the barrel with this, you should get significantly more performance for the same price or just a couple dollars more.

If you have a worse graphics card or onboard/APU today, and can afford to spend 50 dollars now, it’s a cracking good deal.
Sure it’s slow and old by today’s standards, but so what? Judging by where your are, you might not find anything any where near this level. 1050ti can still give you good 1080p gaming in medium quality with some effects turned low.

I’d say it’s worth it, the memory standard has shifted from 2gb to 4gb to 6gb nowadays, and games having gtx1060 as a minimum. sure it wont do you wonders but without knowing your need it’s fair price. I would look for AMD cards at that price range since they tend to age better.

i mean, it isnt terrible, and if its all you can get, or its better than what you’ve got, then sure, it is worth it, but just understand that it isnt amazing and cant play every game.
it will struggle a lot, and it isnt going to be amazing fps, but it’ll get you by

For 50 euros yes it’s a steal
StrikerX1360
At least here in the US, a used 1050 Ti runs about $60-$65 USD on eBay so I’d say that’s a good deal

Everyone scrolling right by Ops comment that he is in Argentina, where there’s not much selection. And by the sounds of it, it would be an upgrade for him. Otherwise I don’t think he would be asking this question.
I’m sure OP would get a 6990 ti EVGA² ftw swirl twist Xtreme if he could.
OP if this is best u can find and get ur hands on then I’d say it isn’t the worst thing you can get, if It still is an upgrade to u at least.
Mistr_White
Good deal but dont expect to play anything after 2018 at 60fps
pisconz
used for used, you would get a much better bang for buck with a rx580 for example, that you very likely get for that price.

If its the best you can find for that money instead of like a rx 580, gtx 1660 then go for it.
Not everything will run on a 1050 ti being that its a low end card that was released in 2017 & replaced by the gtx 1650 in 2019.
afgan1984
Price/Performance mate – that is all it matters. I don’t know what prices are in Argentina… so look-up FPS for reference in the games you play, divide price by FPS and figure out how much $/FPS you get. If there is something you can buy with better ratio, then nay, else yay.
Also – you can look into it other way – what is your target FPS, does the car get you there?
Bcron
I’d get it. I still have a 750 Ti sitting around somewhere because sometimes a graphics card without any power cables is handy. It’s an upgrade right now and it’ll be an awesome backup/troubleshooting card for as long as PCI-E slots are a thing
SnooMachines4171
Got my GTX 1050 for 10€
Juice_231
I’d snag it at that price. Could be fun to use for a side project, maybe a linux build?
Starscream_88
For 50 bucks it’s okay
lentas123
Finnish guy here. Thats a ok price to performance.
oldmonk_97
Op try looking for apu? Like the ryzen 5 5600g or ryzen 7 5700g… They might be better than a 1050. But ofc if this is cheaper for you then go for it.
TristanTheRobloxian3
absolutely. especially since youre in argentina where that $50 card is smth like 18299ars. thats more than HALF of the average monthly salary there. like thats fucking insane for a gpu but still, good buy
Rich_Future4171
for most people, no.
EPIC_NERD_HYPE
hell yeah! great for a spare parts hand-me-down pc or for gaming with friends at home.
slopezski
Based on your location and lack of available parts like you said in your comment, if this is an upgrade for you then yes I would say it is likely worth the $50 as long as you are okay with the thought that it could die and you will basically be out that money. That being said if its been taken care of and not over used then it should have plenty of life left.
