So my partner surprised me with all new ram kit after my old 32gb kit failed on me yesterday but was not expecting a whopping 64GB 3600mhz.
I only play vr games and me and her play project zomboid. So 64gb ram is super overkill.

Funnily enough that kit will perform worse for gaming than a 2x16gb kit. People need to learn that they don’t need more than 32gb of ram unless they physically need that much for the work they do, so kinda a waste of money but still a very nice kit. But I suppose since you didn’t buy i guess it’s not your loss lol
Edit: Damm I guess people kinda misunderstood what I meant by this, I shoulda explained better. But why so many down votes though, it’s true 95 percent of people that buy 64gb of ram will never use that much

so like… ddr4 corsair ram is known to not sometimes work out of the box, but I dont think that is the problem.
lots of the time whenever a build uses 4 sticks it just doesnt work, try using only 2 and see if it works. look at the mobo or the manual to see what dual channel is for the mobo. that way you will know if its a faulty ram issue or just using 4 sticks issue.
So everyone else is focused on how you’ve got over kill or how 4 sticks of ram are a bad idea but me

I have the 32gb offering of that same ram kit, it’s super nice. By default, it’s set to 2133 mhz though, so you’ll have to get go into the bios and tweak the xmp profile to get it to run at your full 3600mhz. And depending on what cpu you have, you may not be able to run at the full 3600mhz

I have 64 gigs too, I bought them myself and I absolutely don’t need that much, it’s just that they were not that expensive so…

Be carefull tho, when activating the XMP, the 4 Sticks wont be able to run stable on 3600mhz
Try it Out in 3600mhz, and If this crashes Games or causes bluescreens, try 3200mhz
The vengeance RAM really has some flaws, i use the non RGB one currently, and had to throttle down to 3200mhz cause the Higher MHz crashed my Games all the time
