“fix it later” is exactly whats wrong with the industry. Cute, but dont promote that attitude.

you gotta love the nervous laugh emoji lol truly a legendary response from who i consider to be a legendary devs. both of them actually, they didn’t have to do what they did. i think it was a valuable lesson for the industry.

I guess with a TGA prize three years after launch CDPR is going to get a clean slate from the media and industry. Idk why but I don’t like that scenario. The ‘humbled & hard working’ attitude they going on so far was already pushing it, but this? It feels like they got away with murder and joked about it on live television and something about that makes me feel dirty for helping them along their scripted redemption sequence

This is not a good thing, just saying. I know they’re probably just joking around but even so, it’s a bad attitude to see.
Do it right the first time, not 3 years after you took peoples’ money.

They should have stopped at edge runners the game was the most stable at that point in time it ever has been.
It would be ok if they play tested the updates thoroughly but clearly they have a skeleton crew on this. This redemption arc is turning back down again.
Play testing patch updates?? That’s what the players are for!!
at this rate CDPR is gonna need another anime to smooth things over.

Eh. Not that funny.

NO CDPR, YOU CAN’T FIX IT LATER ANYMORE. Orion must be a banger on launch day, no more patches bullshit. The Cyberpunk trilogy will never achieve its potential if Orion is not awesome on lauch day.

Hmm, I’m glad they won Best Ongoing but the fact that they had to be put in that category is sad. Even as a joke, that kind of attitude is pretty disappointing.

I wonder how things would have gone if they both started with Early access models. I never played BG3 early access, so It might not be comparable to launch for NMS and CP2077 but seeing Larian take so many awards and how well the game was received after full launch makes me wonder.

Fix it later? Can we pay later aswell?

Imo the changes to Cyberpunk made it worse, not better.
The skill tree is now total garbage.
Cyberware is total garbage.
They needed to remove stat points and make stats come from cyberware ONLY while adding real functionality to cyberware such as a Vats system like Fallout 4 has.
And cyberware needed to modify the appearance and model of your character.
We needed better and more player-gameworld interaction.
We could have used a system that dynamically generates building interiors so we can walk inside all the buildings.
Etc.

As a dev this relate so hard

Yeaaa, not funny.
Guy/gal behind the comment probably has no hand in any development. The community already kinda forgot/forgive what happened and Cyberpunk became an excellent game, still better to not joke about it.
We’ll await if the staff did self-improvement and what they produce in their next releases. Maybe some hired modders have to aid development again.

Fuck them, you don’t get props for cleaning the bed after you shit it, especially when it takes 3 years to do so

CDPR released a broken game, and spent the next years trying to make it playable. And adding in features they promised IN TRAILERS and GAME PREVIEWS. And hooray, they added some! But not all of them, we’re still missing a lot, like branching storyline choices in quests, and gang faction reputations.
CDPR does not get any credit at all for fixing their broken game and giving us some of the stuff they promised us in the marketing.
Sean was just spouting off in interviews. That’s a far cry from CDPR putting together trailers and game demos showing stuff that wasn’t going to launch with the game.
