Why tho? I have it installed since a few months ago and I have no problems.

I built my first pc in May and told the retailer to install Windows 10 for me, long story short i decided to upgrade to windows 11 after a week of using, the reason was that i have been using Windows 10 at my workplace and seeing the same windows OS on my PC would make me feel more tired, so yeah, it was a big change, at least for me

I mean its up to you but atleast my friends and i like 11.

Win 11 is still way to buggy for me, I have lost count how many times I had to troubleshoot for a friend and the issue came down to win 11. It’s probably fine if you only use it lightly and for office and stuff but for anything else I’d still recommend windows 10

I’ve had a significant performance increase and better stability with windows 11, for gaming.

…why though?

I just don’t like the new design they went with (and the new context menu) besides that i don’t have anything against win 11. Just personal preference for me tbh

My kids run windows 11 and it’s fine. It literally acts like windows 10 in terms of stability. My next rig will likely run it.

I think anyone here who believes Win11 is still bad for gaming and extremely buggy, is stuck in 2021.
That said, it’s just preference now.

Why does everyone hate on windows 11? It’s pretty good imo.

its actually pretty decent: the only things you gotta do is change the taskbar to have the windows logo on the left and also change the registry for the old context menu (menu thing that shows when you right click a file). other than that you should be good
also to get around search issues with the windows 11 stuff i just pinned by most used folders to quick access (captures, screenshots, .osu and also .minecraft along with some other stuff) 😛

I have one very weird and niche issue with w11. I have a 4 monitor setup, one 32:9 in the middle, two 16:9 left and right and one 16:9 monitor on top of the 32:9 in the middle in pivot. Whenever I close a program the explorer.exe freezes and than closes completely and has do be run manually again in taskmanager (with EVERY window I close, even a normal explorer window) when I have the top monitor not in pivot, everything’s working fine.
It’s a very chaotic setup.. the 32:9 is 120hz, the two 16:9 are 60hz and the one in pivot is 144hz, I tested every monitor on 60hz, same issue. Sorry for long post, thanks for reading, have a nice day

Biggest reason is I’ve gone through so much registry tweaking and other modifications that upgrading and redoing everything is going to be hella pain

After using some tools to weed out the bloat I like it more than 10… that being said theres obviously bloat to contend with out of the box

Only shit thing for me that genuinely winds me up about W11 is having to click show more options when I right click something on my desktop. Just absolutely no point.

11 is fine…..
Except for onedrive. Fuck then for that

Burn/Copy DVDs and BluRays on win11 yet?

Windows 11 is fine, its the upcoming Windows 12 with all the AI stuff that has me fidgeting.
Hephaestus002
let me guess, you still use internet Explorer too?
windows 11 is now at the point where it’s better than windows 10

I like 11 mainly for 2 reasons. Better HDR support and such a stupid one, but I can connect a Bluetooth device right from the volume tray icon. Win 10 you have to go into Bluetooth co trip panel.

My only real gripe with W11 is the damn file explorer. A lot of the time it basically crashes and freezes on startup or takes forever to even load This PC. Tried all kinds of forum fixes and nothing.

Man, Steam and Rockstar games launcher both say you won’t be able to use windows 7 soon. I guess I can upgrade but really?
