Have had that same one for a few months now. No complaints thus far!
I was going to get one, then realised my local hardware store sold something nearly identical, but 100% acacia for 1/4 of the price. Would suggest checking those out first in case its the same for your country.
Had that exact colour for years, got a monitor arm clamped in the back middle supporting 3 22 inch monitors. Solid as anything. Would recommend.
I have the 8 ft one with 4 monitors one of them the 49in and it’s really solid. I love it
Have one for over 2 years now, the 185x65cm version, with 2 clamp monitor arms on it. A 27′ and a 32′ ultrawide, my lian li xl case on top etc. Not a single problem. Would recommend for sure
I had two for over 5 years mounted on Alexes. We moved to Mexico City so I had to let them go.
They were incredible and still perfect when I gave them to a friend.
Seen a few that sag in the middle.
But thats with monitor arms ect and some load.

Easy solution is to add a brace under the desk. any square tubing will be enough.
Only thing i hate is the tiny wood layer. veneer means you have to be careful with hot cups and bumping the edges.
I myself bought a table top instead. put it on a standing desk frame and finished it with varnish to my liking. Solid wood + i can always sand it and recolour it to match the room.
I have got 2 I’ve used for 6 years.
One as a desktop the other as the backboard I have monitors mounted on.
They are goddamn heavy for what they are made out of. They are also strong and highly scratch-resistant. I’ve got nothing bad to say about them, to be honest.
I’ve had my 74″ for about 3-1/2 years now mounted on top of two Alex drawers. Has had two 27″ monitors, an Xbox, and a PC on top of it pretty much the entire time. No noticeable warping, and only a few notches from moving or accidentally hitting things on it.
I’m not sure about the alternative options that are cheaper at non-Ikea stores, but I can vouch for the Karlby. Certainly don’t have any plans on having a different desk.
I have one. I really like it. The only downside for me is the depth. I prefer a bit more depth then the karlby has. But in general im very happy with it.
Check your local hardware store. Even for a similar price, you can get something made of solid wood rather than cardboard vineer shite. I got a 4m length of this exact worktop from my hardware store for 100 euro. Made two quite nice desks out of it
I got it since 2 years. The only thing i habe to complain is that ist should be deeper (only 63cm). 80cm would be perfect.
I’ve had mine for roughly six years. Absolutely love it. It’s stupid sturdy/heavy. I wish it was a bit deeper, also doesn’t handle heat very well. I have a few burn marks from my coffee mugs lol.
Very stable for my pc and 27inch monitor. Good looks and good quality for 100€
I’ve had mine since 2019. Used it on some legs that ikea used to sell. Now they’re drilled in to standing desk legs. No issues supporting multiple monitor’s and an Xbox / ps5.
