Nope it’s been there always. Not added with 2.1
This has been a feature of the car since PL launched. Unfortunately it makes it extremely annoying to drive in first-person especially at night. In third-person though, yup, it’s awesome.
A few people have mentioned that this was in the game since 2.0/PL, so it’s not new.

Thats always been there on that car. Came out with PL
It’s a clever use of the effect that is normally used to make exhaust pipes/bits of the engine glow with heat, letting them add the flame effect with no extra coding needed.
Was in PL but seems really buggy doesn’t always show for me so they might have finally fixed the bug
