I got a new monitor and its from Gigabyte. The monitor has 2 black, one red pixels and when i wanted to RMA i was told if its under 4-6 dead pixels they wont rma but will refund. I dont want to refund because the price of the monitor went up and i cant replace it if i refund it.
I’m okay with the dead ones but the pink one is close to the center of the screen and i can clearly see it while in white background.
What are your opinions? Would you refund it or keep it and try to ignore it?

If it’s bothering you then yes
i could not even see it until i heavily zoomed in
If i were you i’d refund it and look for other monitors in same price range. I don’t think you can use it very comfortably when there are dead pixels on the screen.
yes, mine came like that and I immediately returned it
Looks like a hot pixel. But yes, I’d refund it.
If you just bought it then yes return! If old then nah this won’t worry you much when using it hopefully
Kesinlikle geri ver
yes definitely
What’s the reason not to exchange or refund it? What’s holding you back?
Personally, I bought a used monitor as B-Ware with “Dead Pixels on zhe display”
Said fuck it and went with it.
2 Dead Pixels almost in the exact center of my screen.
After a couple days I didnt even notice it anymore. Realistically it just blends into the screen and doesnt bother me as much as I used to think it would (resolution 2560×1440)
Honestly, personally I wouldn’t bother, too much effort.
Send it back, it is bugging me and I don’t even have to look at it daily.
I got a 15% refund on a uperfect monitor for a single stuck pixel; I have since forgotten it exists; helps that it’s 2560×1600 and 18 inch so pixel density is very high.
If it’s obvious and annoying, absolutely.
My opinion is fuck this BS policy refund and get another fucking monitor
Yeah just go for it. You’ll constantly be aware of that and it won’t stop bothering you.
Send it back. It’s still a defect at the end of the day and I’d ignore their nonsense about allowing 4-6 dead pixels. They could very easily just swap it over for another, but it sounds like they’re either being difficult/can’t be bothered or they’re hoping you’ll go ahead and pay the higher price for a replacement.
I had this issue with a few BenQ Mobiuz monitors around a year ago. I had three in a row that were defective with either dead or glowing pixels. The last replacement they sent me was also clearly used! I gave up with them and ended up buying a nice 27″ LG Ultragear 1440p screen instead…. Perfection first time and have been using it ever since with no issues.
Being new, absolutely return it if it bugs you. It would bug me even if it wasn’t new, but arriving with dead pixels imma RMA that.
What’s your time limit to refund it? Maybe you could try using it for like 3 days to a week to see if you get used to it. If you don’t in that time, you probably won’t in a longer time either. In that case, or if you can’t afford that much time, then refund it. If it stops bothering you after a couple days, then might as well keep it.
Personally I’d probably refund it, if they were scattered that’s one thing, but the one near the center I don’t think I could get used to.
if it was within the 1st 30 days i would exchange it, disaply warranties usually have silly requirements for dead pixels to be covered
Back in the day the return threshold was 5 dead pixels. Don’t know the today limit.
If it’s new then yes.
If they wont take it back, I have had good luck with tapping it with a ballpoint pen with increasing force and pressure and had the pixel get unstuck
Technically within spec. As gigabyte said, so if it’s bothering you just refund it and get someting else, pleanty of other displays worth buying, and there is nothing wrong wiping out a laptop to test it in store.
I would
Did you want a monitor with dead pixels?
Yea you paid for a brand new monitor dawg
