Just because someone earns good money it doesn’t mean that they should spend it at every occasion. Especially in this day and age when we have no idea what’s going to happen in the near future with the world economy.
Honestly, as long as they work I would say respect to him for not creating more e-waste and instead fixing what he already has. Earning a lot of money doesn’t mean you can’t be resourceful, plus we don’t know if he is saving money for something.
I used electrical tape on mine. When they fit just right you don’t want to give them up.
I don’t get why some people with tons of money are super duper cheap like this. I coupon aggressively and decide what to eat for the week depending on what’s on sale, but I don’t for a second think of taping up my gear like this. Either find a permanent fix that looks good like new cables and reupholstering or get a new one. This headset could be fixed better, it’s just being done the lazy way.
