Recently over the past several months, I’ve decided to take up overclocking as a hobby but I haven’t had the prior experience, so I sincerely apologize for any idiocy that you may stumble across.

Currently, I’m trying to push for #1 leaderboard on Time Spy for my 5600x and single 1070 Ti, but I’ve stumbled into several problems. Regarding “overclocking” (not really) with PBO, you can only go so far in multithreaded workloads like Time Spy, so my performance regarding that has been lackluster to say the least. I’ve also tried raising the base clock to 4.7 on all core on the 5600x while reducing voltage, but that turns out just decent performance in comparison to others and also happens to be very unstable aswell, as does PBO if you lower offsets too low with Curve Optimizer.

Using PBO, I’ve raised my PPT, TDC, and EDC to 110/80/110 and it’s gained me performance but I have yet to be able to break 8.2k in CPU with 5600x. I don’t have any bloatware running in the background, all background startup services disabled and even disabling simple services and such like Windows Defender.

I upgraded boards recently as my prior board in the 4.7 all core run was.. yeah. But even with that upgrade, I cannot seem to get added stability nor performance. Any suggestions? Cooling is a kraken z53 (ik) push-pull config with 4x iceGALE xtra’s.
