    Buy a new non-plated cable. The “gold” does absolutely nothing except making you pay more. It’s most probably not even real gold.

    Get a few HDMI cables for the price you paid for that one. You won’t be able to tell the difference

    That probably ¢20 worth of gold. it’s going to be okay, especially since a lot of connectors are gold plated nowadays. Gold’s one of the best and does not corrode.

    I pulled the rest out of my pc with a plyer. “Straighted” the bent pins and put the loose part back on. A little glue, flipped it and put the sketchy part in my monitor. Took 5min. Had worked since
