I ordered 5 items amounting to over $700 USD and Newegg sent me the wrong box which only had 2 items not even close to what I ordered, and now I have been fighting Newegg support for over 4 days now to replace the items, now I am giving them one last chance and if that fails I will go to my bank to dispute this charge as fraud.

    TL/DR: DONT BUY FROM NEWEGG

That’s frustrating… I’m sorry you’re going through this!! I feel so bad for people that don’t live close to a micro center. I’m sure they will get back to you and help you figure it out. Hopefully! Probably busy with the holidays coming up.

  3. Interesting_Role1201

I thought Newegg was cancelled. Apparently they’re not back with this post.

  4. Nuclear_Flatulence

How much the wrong items total up too?

  5. Sorry about that man, this is why I wouldn’t shop at newegg. I’ve read nothing but horror stories about their customer service.

  6. VegasVator

I stand by my opinion that Newegg sucks and should not be used.

  7. For over 3 years now this site has slowly become a ali express site yet these dam sites keep scamming users even amazon has gpu scams we need a un backed international department to keep these retailers honest start putting criminal charges on the bad apples.

Both scam call centers and websites need to be cleaned out and in the case of newegg investigated/regulated even bestbuy now uses intelicom in canada for shipping they will steal your item give you a empty package. Bestbuy 3rd party selling is scam central aswell.

  8. Call your credit card company. You did use a credit card to purchase, right?

They have protection for this sort of thing and can chargeback/clawback as needed.

  9. This is an important lesson. Always video opening the shipped package, and always order with a credit card.

As far as NewEgg knows, indeed as far as we know, you could well be the scammer. Claiming items weren’t shipped in a multi-part order is a very common scam done against retailers, and you’ve been swept up with this broad brush.

after GN did the video I thought theyll change their ways…. I hope you get something worked out, this is not cool.

To those wondering, I placed it with a credit card, no I didn’t record the opening, I took pictures of everything else though

Id just try to charge back and “burn the bridge” with newegg because they are such a dogshit company at this point. I’m surprised how many people still use them considering the frequency of bs like this happening.

Where is gamernexus when you need them?

Sucks to see. I’ve been ordering from NewEgg for 5 years and never once had an issue. Typically try and buy from NewEgg and not third party sellers, unless they have high ratings. There are some scummy sellers, but its not only Newegg that has them. Try phoning newegg customer service, I’ve talked to them a few times and they were helpful. Last resort would be a chargeback.

I ordered a CPU from them one year. I had it shipped to a UPS physical location for pickup to avoid theft. Opened it at home to discover the packaging but no CPU. I filed a police report and submitted that with my claim to UPS and Newegg. Newegg replaced it asap.

Amazon may be bad, but Newegg is terms of customer service is always dog shit and 10x worse than Amazon

  17. Wolfman01a

Take it to social media. Post on their twitter if they have one. Make a stink about it. You have nothing to lose.

  18. lunas2525

The few times i used newegg i called them when i had issues they fixed my issues everytime…

  19. KeepingIt100forLife

I had a small issue with them years ago, they cancelled an order during a sale. So I just never went back. I just go in person to BestBuy and they recently opened a MicroCenter near me. It’s fun to buy parts in person.

  20. BudgetBuilder17

Was all these parts sold by newegg or marketplace sellers?

I never get large price items from 3rd party sellers for this reason. As I live in a state where they have a DC. And tend to get stuff next day unless it’s in another DC.

  21. Far-Position7115

    Newegg sucks now, eh

this might sound rancid but I’ve always had success with eBay

  22. Double-Low-9394

Just do a chargeback and be on your way. That’s what I would do. I don’t even try with these asshole companies anymore. Overbooked flight? Chargeback. Package not as described? Chargeback. Lip service from tech support? Chargeback.

They denied you. That’s all the ammo you need. Chargeback.

  23. BaconMeetsCheese

It’s either micro center or Amazon for me nowadays

  24. SourBogBubbleBX3

Other peoples weight idea seems your best route.

  25. drlongtrl

I live in Germany, so Newegg isn´t even on my radar for buying stuff. That being said, as a frequent user of “the internet”, I have to say that I hardly ever heard anything positive about them. Why are people even buying from them?

  26. AdministrationTop176

Wtf is NewEgg? Not to blame you, but I wouldn’t even consider buying from them , unless they are known in USA (not in a bad way). From what I’m seeing in the comments way more people bought from them and got scammed or almost scammed, why does anyone even buy from them?

NewEgg sounds silly for a company name, kinda like MonkeyBanana

  27. Maybe it got swapped with other guy’s orders when packing?

  28. Responsible-Corgi993

700 for those parts is scam even if they sent them to you

  29. Educationall_Sky

Newegg was good 10 years ago but since the Chinese acquisition they have rapidly gone downhill. They were great back in the day when they didn’t charge sales tax.

The last thing I bought from them was a PC case in 2021 and they screwed that up. Spent 30 minutes with support to get a return label and haven’t looked back. I’d never use them again.
