It’s 2023. PC gaming has grown exponentially since RDR2 and they put the GTA collection(as trash as it was) on PC day one.
GTA 6 will not skip a PC release on launch.
Edit: I think since RDR2 came out Steam has gained 60+ million more MAU which I think doubles what Steams MAU was in 2018.

Yes hardware variables exist but why not make the game for those variables on pc then port it to standardised hardware aka consoles.

I think people forget old school rockstar. People forget that gta games have never been on PC at launch. And i think people also forget that rockstar doesnt release any extended gameplay footage. Theres usually a quick couple minute trailer showcasing the story/characters and setting but theres never usually any gameplay. So we will most likely get this trailer than nothing else until release.

If we take that into the count, us PC players are like 3 to 4 years away from playing next gta. I would love to be wrong and rockstar releases at same time on pc and consoles, but end of the world has higher chances to happen then that.

Although the situation is possibly a bit different now compared to GTAV release as Rockstar may or may not want to get GTAVI online going as soon as possible on all platforms so perhaps a universal release date is plausible..? Would they want to double dip with retail purchases and also have two separate online launches for Console and PC?

Fuck, I didnt even think about that…this is gonna suck, I’d buy a PS5 but honestly it would just be a GTA machine, that’s a lot of cash for me to drop on a system for one game, have zero interest in PS exclusives…
I’m not a huge fan of the controller to top it all off…Just makes my hands hurt…much prefer the Xbox layout and shape. PlayStation controllers cramp my big ass claws up sadly…

they bought FiveM and updating their launcher latley now it’s way better than most publishers launchers, i ecpxet that we gonna get milked through FiveM will be for fees, and will release day 1 on PC but not on steam, it’s their biggest game fr they wants 100% not giving 30% as much as they can. and tbh this can only happens on PC through their Launcher.

I mean you can pretty much expect the same performance optimization as rd2, but probably much better at launch.. And probably expect the same visuals as well. I’m not going to expect like horizon forbidden west level visuals. But, the landscape and setting is just much more different than rd2, or horizon.
