Definitely…I have already installed it!

If the application has a 16-bit installer, then Windows says “No!”

Linux is famously user friendly and easy to use.

Linux: Want to install that program? Here is an error, have fun spending 2-8 hours troubleshooting!

(Spoiler, the answer is installing an older version of your distro, silly of you to use something that is less than 5 years old! Hopefully don’t need that other program which only runs on the new one though.)

25 years ago puts Linux stuff right in the middle of the controversial EGCS-Libc1 vs GCC-Glibc2 transition.

In fact, it’s quite possible you’ll find software from those days that just plain won’t work on Linux, especially if it’s dynamically linked to libc1 using egcs.

But getting said program to run is a different story

Few months ago I installed some older version of Microsoft Office on someone’s MacBook with macOS Mojave, then I installed it on my laptop with macOS Catalina and I couldn’t open the Apps because it was too old… (there is very little difference between these two OSes).

I find macOS to be very user friedly for daily stuff. Backup restoration is also very good. Let’s say you lost all of your data, you could be up and running very quickly, if you have a Time Machine backup. I tried running full backups and restoration with all 3 and it was the best with macOS.

  8. If Linux was ok with anti cheat I would have made the switch 100%

My experience with Linux was true misery. You can shout all you want about how user friendly it is but you can’t speak it into existence, it’s a fucking pain.

Windows: “I can install it, but you might need to run your system in compatibilty mode in order for it to work properly. Also can’t guarantee that it won’t crash every so often, so I would save your progress often”

Though I completely agree with Mac…

Mac: “One software generation ago!?!?! It is dead to me!!”

  11. Linux seemed fake to me. I remember only plenty of examples that I could be able to install software without getting dependency version mismatch issues.
