Just another step before i switch to Firefox

I don’t understand. They know other browsers exist and that people hate ads enough to pay someone else to block it for them even when they could just pay Google to remove ads. That’s how much people hate it.

So what even is the point? They’ll just drive people to a different browser and have to deal with this cat-mouse game all over again

This company should be taken apart by anti-competitve agencies, split google from YouTube sell it, split Android from Google sell them, Let them have Chrome and their rest of the apps & cloud, Without doingback doors deals for making their engine defualt one. For Healthy World. If they stopped them from giving free money to samsung & Apple for setting their engine as defualt, they will work hard to create new engine and new browser compete Chrome.

Does this apply to just Chrome, or all chromium based browsers? I’ve been using Brave browser but may have to switch to Firefox.

Just switched to Firefox because of Google’s shenanigans. But we need the FTC to step in and rein in Google’s monopoly in this space.

  6. Anathema-Thought

Chrome is garbage anyway. Firefox all day.

  7. Daniel08s

who is even using chrome at this point

“acshually a lot of casual users…”

  8. alsophocus

I’ve dropped chrome a long time ago. Started using whatever else, like Brave.

  9. paulerxx

Just don’t use chrome…It’s really that simple. Brave + Firefox is the way.

Stop using Chrome. Stop using Chromium browsers.

chrome has always sucked and been borderline malware to me

  12. SnuffleWumpkins

So long chrome, we’ve had a good run, but it’s time for you to join IE and Netscape in that great big browser graveyard in the sky,

    >If ad blocking is a cat-and-mouse game of updates and counter-updates, then Google will force the mouse to slow down.

… and the mouse will move to Firefox, or some other non-chrome browser.

What are they gonna do? Most people who are realy dedicated to Adblock like me won’t give up towards this. I jst changed to Firefox for already sometimes and that not how they are gonna keep some of their base on Chrome.

  15. markonelius

Okay so Chrome is oficially out (probably has been for some time) . Is Firefox the way to go ?

  16. I always find these comments funny when Firefox has less marketshare today (3%) than Netscape had in the 90s (4%).

  17. Ziadaine

Wasn’t there a shit-show with Firefox a few years ago?

  18. Musician-Round

Don’t mind google, it’s just making its way to the retirement home with internet explorer lol

  19. regret_fullife

i just made the switch to firefox, no complaints sofar. addblocking works

  20. Google is self destructive i actually changed from Google to bing cause they started asking for captcha when I used VPN + incognito mode. And while i never really used chrome if i did, i would definitely switch now.

  21. MacGuyver247

As long as you are using chromium based browsers, you’re encouraging this behaviour.

Google is an ad company. Adblocking is affecting their revenue. Google makes Chrome. It’s really simple.

I switched to Edge for Copilot and originally intended to switch back. But when Google ripped adblock a new one and ads started flooding me on Chrome, they made me switch back to edge permanently

  23. Elrothiel1981

Brave and Firefox with origin adblocker is what I do can’t stand Chrome and refuse to use YouTube on my PC
