So i made a post detailing a lot of my build process from Nov 10th or so here: https://old.reddit.com/r/techsupport/comments/186r27x/loosing_my_mind_7800x3d_msi_b650_tomahawk/
to keep it short though, Pc boots up every single time, this is with PBO + Expo, i’m having random black screens every few days as mentioned in the post above.
Pc screens go black, and pc restarts, all leds and stuff stay on / do not turn off.
happened once at -30CO, so i put it to -20CO, 7 days later or so it happened again so i went with -0, then after almost 2 weeks it happened again.
I also notice HWinfo tracking is stuttery, the time at the bottom sometimes doesn’t update for 15+ seconds as if it’s stuttering, sometimes when i go to task manager and click to sort by name, it can lag/stutter.
Hwinfo64 also randomly gains new headers for memory:

It shows my ram has hit 3500c+, PCIMs are all triggered and such.
Even in OCCT, running a test, this information shows on OCCT too.
I can’t tell if the cpu is bad, the ram is bad or what… I’ve got AM4 ariving tomorrow but i would like to stay with AM5, I just can’t get many answers for these issues.
For a full breakdown check the post at top, has dates of what i did / happened in order.

Start by turning off curve and pbo and get it stable with just expo 6000 or so and go from there.
You built the PC, turned on a bunch of overclocks (some automatic, some manual) on the same day and ran it with massively insufficient testing. You got restarts triggered by the CPU as it detected errors.
You had OC’d immediately so it’s impossible to say if it’s OC related or not (although it almost certainly is) and you OC’d on many fronts so it’s impossible to isolate the failure to any particular one of them.
You returned the setup without ever testing it at spec because your automatic overclock was erroring.
That’s a bad look for a beginner and shocking from someone who claims to have built 25 systems.
