That face at the end, I scared myself in the reflection of the CRT monitor during a loading screen. Thats what helped led me overcome ape-face.

  3. Cultural_Parfait7866

Yea but the kids now are all on adderall

  4. Pain_Proof

I can barely keep up in Halo which I’m devoting like 2 hours a day to. I don’t get how people can keep up with the herd in more than like 1 game at a time. At least I’ve still got singleplayer games

  5. Beartrap-the-Dog

I’m still playing like it’s 2001. Still a dedicated single player gamer, and a bad one at that.

  6. Garrth415

Accurate for RPG’s and shooters. The reverse for certain games though.
I have no idea how TF I beat donkey kong country 2 as a kid, I can’t even get past that damn roller coaster in world 3

  7. Us:

    * Didn’t have shooters/good action games until we were already teenagers/pre-teens
    * Games were super basic
    * Computer mice were slow, had a ball that only worked some of the time, and would need regular cleaning
    * Had to learn any and all controls and strategy from a book that was probably missing, or by word of mouth, on the weekends, if we were lucky
    * If we played for more than twenty-five minutes on a given day, we were grounded/beat to an inch of our lives

    Them:

    * Started playing CS:GO at age 2
    * Games require more skill, awareness, memorizations, have way more to do
    * Has peripherals that actually do what you tell them to do
    * Have in-game tutorials, training, bots, online multiplayer for access to opponents any time of the day, every day, YouTube tutorials, speed run strats, mods, etc.
    * Are working towards becoming a streamer or YouTuber, so if they play *less* than three hours a night, they only get $10 of in-game currency this week instead of $20, as punishment

Played nfsmw back then on my laptop and i didnt even have a mouse

  9. SoWokeIdontSleep

Man, she really makes long huge moves with her mouse all over the place, I barely move mine, should I be playing like that with lower DPS for more accuracy?

  10. vaustin89

In the days CS 1.6 and DOTA in LAN Cafes oh boy not learning how to efficiently hit your shortcut keys was a matter of life or death, and then blatantly trash talking your opponents who are just in front of you..haha good times.. my reaction time in gaming is just way worse,l nowadays, that slower games like BG3 and management sims is just my jam.

  11. Wivi2013

I am still stuck at 2001. Don’t pull me outta there tho.

  12. Jay-Booze

No one under 30 knows wtf a physical keyboard and mouse is, what are you talking about? There is only sail foams and playstation controllers.

  13. DiaperFluid

I still play this way occasionally. I gave my friends permission that if i ever played like the first clip, that they can physically beat me. I dont care how good that first guy is. I refuse to play like a spastic ADD child. When my nephew thumbs through menus fast as shit without reading it bothers me.

  14. firedrakes

and yet go into the same pathway points almost ever game.

get irk with some one c4 or hmg sitting far back…

am not the greatest player in the world. but i notice most players go into the same points on a map. where simple stay back and doing hmg/support tons of kills and curse words from normal players.

  15. Prestigious_Tax7415

Damn no wonder I’m getting 360 no scoped by some kid that just fcked my mom

  16. DetectiveSecret6370

I’ve done this multiple times in the past week alone.

    Boom.

  17. Comrade14

Nah I remember the first time I played half life mp I crushed the whole server (probably bots)

  18. Snydenthur

I can’t, those are just the extremities of bad players. Having the sort of twitchy aim and trying to be fast for no reason serves no real purpose and being extremely slow is just obviously being bad.

Also, games generally required more skill back then than now that everything is more casual.

  19. blackest-Knight

    I disagree.

    Why ?

Because I lost too many quarters in SF2 and MK to that young asian kid at the Arcade who plays exactly like top pro Starcraft gamers play.

Except he figured all the movesets on his own, without Internet forums or reddit or an in game menu to tell him how.

  20. Kalenshadow

My cousin is around 16, a decent pubg player. I let her play portal while I watched. She wanted to rage quit so many times until she got the hang of it.

This gen has sharper reflexes yes, but way worse problem-solving skills.

  21. Maes_Hero_Hughes

Just throwing this out here, [DanucD – Twitch](https://www.twitch.tv/danucd) thats danu shes a really good player and chill. She streams consistently and normally plays PUBG, COD, etc etc .

  22. peanutmanak47

Oh big time. I watch my teenage son play something and he’s just like she is. When he plays with me and my friends, who are all 30’s and above, he does shit sooooo much quicker than we do.

  23. beardedbast3rd

I guess someone wasn’t playing quake or unreal

  24. xdjfrick

I have a 17 year old gamer son and I can confirm this is true …
