  1. I’d say it’s correct according to some part of this subreddit, but the reverse applies in the “real world”.

I’ll let you decide which part of the graph my lowered settings reside on.

I’m going to be upgrading to 1440p monitors with a 1660 super and will have to just lower the settings. I don’t want to know which side of this curve I’m on

Here’s the thing: upgrading is *personal preference* it’s never you “should” upgrade – do it when you *want* to and have the budget.

It is perfectly fine lowering settings – that’s still no reason to trash on upgrades. Nobody cares (or should) if you play on a 1050 or a 4090. If you are having fun – **you are doing it right**.

Man. There are people in this world who sold their 30′ series GPU and swapped it for the 40′ series equivalent

    Until we meet again! 💀🌀🌀

I don’t get why people upgrade tbh. like if you can’t run the bare minimum then fine, upgrade.
but if it’s running at 500fps on low settings but 144fps on ultra just don’t. you will never play a game with ultra graphics if it’s not for 5 seconds

  7. I say, who cares and let people pick their poison. If you have the money and want to upgrade, go for it. If you have the money and don’t want to upgrade, don’t. If you don’t have the money, just don’t upgrade and lower the settings a bit.

    Broke: Upgrade
    Woke: Lower settings
Bespoke: Play the actually good games made 20 years ago

I have a 6950xt, Ive been tweaking settings since I got it. I only play easy games on ultra, like lies of p or sifu. But still playing cp2077 on high. And still playing spiderman on ultra high mixed. Almost all games still great, or sometimes indistinguishable, at high

Turns out you can play Hogwarts legacy on high settings with an RX480.

Just gotta limit the fps to 45.

I just hate spending time trying to figure out which setting to lower. Most times 9/10 settings have no impact. Then you tune 1 and game looks like crap but performances sky rockets.

Bruh, i kept my pc for 10 years to upgrade 😂, i just lower the sittings 😂

I love the “if it’s not top spec, it’s trash” people. I had a Phenom 2 X6 like 10 years, and a GTX 750Ti for maybe 8 years. Most games worked just fine, just had to adjust the settings a little. I plan on having my 5800x3D and RX6700XT for years to come.

Save your money y’all, and spend it on a vacation instead!

    EDIT: spelling hard

  14. I have been playing on the lowest settings for years now.
