It’s a bit of a gamble, yes.
And that’s why I still stick to wired headsets.
Bluetooth uses 2.4Ghz, not sure what this is about
Does your motherboard not come with Bluetooth? I’ve found it to be extremely painless.

I was thinking of investing in a wireless headset, so I should go for a non-bluetooth one? Do the 2.4ghz ones come with a dongle?
Buy a $10 dongle and be done with it….
Yeah I’ve learned awhile ago that bluetooth headphones are something I use only on a mac. or a mobile device. Sure they’ll work on Windows but you have to jump through hoops and you get to do it just about every time you connect them.
If there is a microphone in them… great now it sounds like a phone but it will do it randomly. I just use wired on my PC.
I’m not sure why would you even want to use Bluetooth on your PC.
No bluetooth on your motherboard? I simply have to switch the audio output from my speakers to my paired wireless head set in the audio drop down list in the bottom right of windows, and I’m good to go. It takes like 30 seconds.
Idk man, Just use one that has a USB Stick for Connection
Mine never had any Problems, except that the battery is dead after 3 years
I normally use 2.4, but occasionally use my Bluetooth earbuds and have never had an issue, they have always connected right away and initial pairing was a breeze. My motherboard has built in WiFi/BT if that makes a difference for whatever issue you have.
and I thought having to either reconnect or else switch audio profiles was hard (I run Linux mint so I can actually do that). it’s my cheapo tozo buds that when they automatically connect I get a couple seconds of audio (the timer only starts when you start playing something) before it switches to silence. I don’t think my nothing ear 2s do it though.
Bluetooth is crap.
My soundcore Q35s stopped working this week. I cannot for the life of me get them to work again. They work fine with literally every other device I have, including one running the compatibility shitshow that is Linux. I have a new Bluetooth adapter coming this week, and I’m reinstalling windows if that doesn’t work.
I think the only thing on my computer that isn’t hardwired is my mouse, and even then, the dongle is sticking out of the backside of my keyboard. I have a universal BT dongle plugged in for niche situations, but rarely use it.
Never ever I had any problem with a blueboth headset on Windows. Been using for years.
Y’all are having problems with connecting you Bluetooth headset? Or am I miss reading the issue here?
