It depends on how high the clip pressure is.
As long as the bezel isn’t caving in from the pressure, then probably not.
Looks like I have the same light bar and a 32″ m32Q monitor, it hasn’t effected mine in over 6 months.
No, you’ll be fine. Just make sure the clipping/mounting pressure isn’t super tight. I’ve had mine set up like that for a long time, and zero issues.
More than likely, yes. You are putting pressure on a screen it might be fine if there is not too much pressure, but I would consider it risky.
Can anyone explain why you would mount a light to light your monitor…… woudnt it be better not to…?

From what I see you already have a light coming more through the screen in this place. This is exactly why you don’t wanna do it. As in the dark images, movies etc. you will see this part of the screen brighter than the rest, and it is sometimes impossible to get rid of that.
Display manufactures spent decades trying to perfect monitors in many light conditions, now mfs are attaching lights to the monitors themselves….
I can’t believe something this dumb exists. Surely there has to be a more feasible way to light your desk than to mount a light that clamps directly onto your monitors screen.
This is exactly my setup from years, no harm so far.
You’re asking to crack your LCD in the dumbest way I’ve heard in the past 6 months.
if you don’t notice your screen feeling pressure then you’re fine.
Like its actually clipping? Or is it just resting on top? The one’s i’ve seen give you a little piece of metal with sticky to put on the top and it sits on it with a magnet.

I think I have the exact same lightbar you do (Quntis right?) and I had a similar setup with my LG monitor where the bezel is part of the screen laminate.
I basically did what you are doing in your picture and what I did was ditch the extra plastic bit at the back that makes the gap smaller so that the spring loaded clip can pinch the monitor and I just blu-tacked it to the top of my monitor instead.
While it didn’t damage my screen, I did notoice discoloration around the are of the screen it was pinching and it was making me hurt inside seeing that.
Will I damage my monitor by damaging my monitor?
I’ve been using one of these (Ben Q) for over five years and it’s been fine. No issues at all. This is on a PG279Q. Could vary by monitor though, and how strong the front bezel plastic is on yours.
I’ve had one of these on my monitor for the past year and there is no damage.
