Just bought an Intel Arc A750 new because it was an insanely good deal for $130. I literally have no need for it.
I think it’s probably one of the cleanest looking GPUs ever to come out; up there with the Radeon VII. Peak aesthetics imo
Interested to see how the drivers improve with time given intels dedication to the cause.
Also kind of have this sense of fomo of missing out on Intel first gen GPUs, which I’m well aware is completely irrational.

Imo the recent radeon oem cards are peak physical design that looks like a cheap enterprise network card or something

If you won’t miss the $130, I would say that’s not a bad price to pay for something to be toying with in a few games, and/or from time to time to see how drivers change and improve over time.
Of course that’s assuming you have a fallback GPU. Though even without one, that really is a killer price. As long as you accept the potential quirks that come with this still-pretty-early-but-getting-there tech.

Before the 7800XT came out I was very seriously considering an A770, and the aesthetics definitely played a part in that.

Arc LE cards have one of the cleanest designs I’ve ever seen
I picked up an A380 just for the AV1 encoder. The machine it’s installed to has never played a game with it but it’s definitely done some encoding. You can encode 1080p AV1 at 200+ fps and the quality is awesome.
My opinion is the ARC cards are interesting and I hope Intel continues making them. I think they’re really just for enthusiasts right now as there are driver issues that would make it not recommended for the average consumer.
I wanted to buy an arc a770 just to have hang on a wall because it looks so clean.

Please do not waste your money on buying things you don’t need from multibillion dollar companies. Donate it or give it to a person in need, not a company with a CEO making 180 million a year while laying off their own workers. At the end of the day, it’s your money, spend it however you want.

Intel Arc is a great deal if you do more than gaming (video editing or 3d rendering etc.) and don’t want to pay the insane Nvidia price. And AMD can’t compete, at least in this price class. Especially their 3d rendering performance is just awful.
Emulator support/performance is the only reason I’m not considiring Arc.
I had one for around 18 hours.
Returned it.
The poor thing had so much trouble just displaying an image on my 32″ 4K monitor. Half the times after a sleep, it would take 2-3 cold boots before it decided outputting on it again.
Then there was the issue that I was installing it in a system without Resizable Bar, a Z170 board with an i7-6700k. I looked into getting a hacked BIOS on it to enable rebar support, but since it was a Gigabyte board, it wasn’t cooperating with the Hack to install an Hack.
So after messing around way too long with it, I just returned it and installed a RX 7600 instead. Paid the same price, spent the rest of the night playing Doom 2016 in 4K.
Once they get everything worked out they’ll be a pretty competitive player in the market I think and hopefully they keep the pricing

for $150? black friday why not
The current Arc cards have no interest to me. But I’m glad they exist and I adamantly hope to see arc with some top end offerings soon to compete with Nvidia.
I have an A380 in my desktop as an transcoding card (specifically for AV1, because why not) and it’s a great little GPU.
Idk. I can’t get drivers back on a rig to actually get it to work. Used to be able to download and install the drivers, THEN install the card. Doesn’t work that way now. It’s in it’s box on a shelf now. 😞
