Game provides enough variety to keep you interested up to 3 playthroughs actually. Unless you have another game waiting for you, i’d say give it a shot. Even in the most insignificant missions there are at least 4 different ways to approach them.
I have had significant struggle coming back to it after my playthrough back at launch. The bullet sponge combat really hurts for that. Reduced dialog options too and not a lot of variety in quests and such.

There’s just two things that are keeping me from replaying (I finished like 3 days ago, for reference:)
1. The sheer amount of content. Don’t get me wrong, for the most part I love that there’s so many gigs, sidequests and crimes/assaults in progress to keep you occupied on top of the main story and PL, but **fuck** is it a lot. By the time I got both endings I wanted my stats page said I had 400+ hours played.
2. The endings are all too damn depressing. There is one that comes close to being “happy”, but it’s more bittersweet than anything. I know everyone says “No one gets a happy ending in Night City”, and even Johnny says it himself, but damn if I wasn’t left feeling empty when I finished.
I think I’ll try again in a few months. I have tons of other games in the meantime.
You know it’s interesting when people say this. I wonder do you feel the same about movies or TV shows? Or reading books?
Not knocking it of course, I’m always curious why people don’t like revisiting entertainment they love.

Same! Never played the same game twice but damn I’m in my second play through and still having an absolute blast
It’s designed to be played multiple times. It’s actually impossible to see all of the content and points of view with 1 play-through (without mods) and that’s one of my favorite things about the game. On my second playthrough now and I’m still enjoying it.
Same, it took me a year and half to replay it though. Still one of my favorite games of all time.
