correct me if I’m wrong but as a fan of both megadeth and cyberpunk I just wondered this for a while and wondered if anyone thought the same.

Actually, that couls be a reference. And if it is, it’s a nice one!

The lyrics are from a RHCP song so it’s not out of the question that she’d have references from other IRL bands

I think indirectly, a lot of metal bands from the same era have similar iconography on their album covers and merch.

If it’s not a reference to Vic Rattlehead, then it’s an amazing coincidence haha.

    I think there’s a theme in Judy’s tattoos:

    * there was nothing to fear nothing to doubt – *Pyramid Song* by Radiohead
    * underwater where thoughts can breath easy(ily) – *Parallel Universe* by Red Hot Chili Peppers
    * I refuse to sink – *I Refuse To Sink* by Blood On The Dancefloor
    * We all came from the sea – *We All Came From The Sea* by The Wedding Present
    * Gun and rose Tattoos – possible Guns ‘n Roses reference?
    * Hand grenade with heart – possible Green Day reference?

So I count at least 3 clear and direct references to bands, perhaps more. Could be logical that the skull is a reference to Vic Rattlehead.

I was wondering the same thing lol. I feel like it’s gotta be a reference.

It’s a reference to the 1984 cyberpunk book Neuromancer by William Gibson

More than likely. Music is a big thing in this game and a ton of her tattoos are music related.

They don’t even look the same. As someone mentioned, the Neuromancer book cover is more similar and would make more sense.
