It’s an easily missed option when checking out, you have to select to have them ship in Amazon packaging (or something like that).

What’s the problem?
dweller_12
They’ve been doing this for half a decade unless you select “Ship in Amazon packaging” at checkout.
Hoppyb33rs
I’ve never selected “Amazon packaging” and I’ve always had my stuff come in an Amazon box
morgartjr
I had 2 hard drive arrive like that last week. Delivery guy basically pitched them underhand on to my stoop. I was livid.

I got my last board from Amazon exactly the same way.
The board manufacturer usually does a good job with their own box.
MentllyDisnfectd
I think it’s a time of year thing. My stuff always comes in boxes but last year I ordered a lot of Christmas presents for my kids and they all shipped as is with huge shipping labels slapped on them. Someone posted a tip on another sub recently saying to look for a “This is a gift” option and they will ship it in a box.

amazon is getting worse and worse….

You forgot to set it to Wombo instead of Mambo in the cart
spaceduckcoast2coast
Did this with one of my graphics cards as well, bright green EVGA box very clearly showing what’s inside it, white Amazon label on the side. And what’s worse is that I lived in an apartment complex known for having a lot of stolen packages.

They did the same with my new PSU. There’s an option to select ‘amazon packaging’
EducationalCamel1043

Some people take the SIOC suggestion on the pack app too seriously. Source: Worked pack there before

My last MB came the same way…
IncognitoLizard225
Everyone suggesting clicking the ship in the amazon box option.
Has anyone else never seen this?? None of my packages ever arrive like this.
xXShadowGravesXx
There’s nothing wrong with shipping it in the manufacturer’s packaging. This cuts down on waste as well. It also depends on whether the manufacturer or seller of a product on Amazon has it set to ship their products in a cardboard box or not as the default. Normally there’s an option to choose during checkout that gives you an option to have *your box placed in another box*.
MCBuilder30140
Sir I can see the packaging. Am I blind?
No seriously what is wrong with Amazon??
Hefty-Collection-638
Interestingly enough they just sent me 4 car fob batteries in a 6×8 box with a bunch of air packaging inside. Such weird practices
singdawg
I bought a lego set for my kid on Amazon and they slapped the stickers right on the box
Babylon4All
They’ve started to default in some areas of “Ship in manufacturers packing to save packing” and you just need to select to have amazon box it, sort of annoying but an easy fix for the future.
Johker94
The seller can opt out of using Amazon’s packaging to save money if their packaging meets Amazon’s standards. You can mark the delivery as a gift, and amazon will use a box.
charles_ganache
This is perfectly fine, you’re looking for a reason to be mad at this point.
DaFookCares
The motherboard is already in a box. You want it in two boxes now?
I don’t understand the problem unless you’re worried about theft?
wildo83

If ordering components try to select “ship in amazon packaging” when placing the order. Or mark it as a gift & add a msg.
