Cable management is such a strange concept.
TYGRDez
Before modular PSUs were a thing, you did what you could… and it usually ended up looking like this anyway
HermanManly
hm, what’s wrong with this?

Here before the cable management stans get here and brigade the post.
Kontrolgaming
as long as it runs quake3arena at 125 fps who gives a crap out it looks inside.
Revolutionated
My god i have the same psu and just by seeing this i’m feeling the fucking thing just getting stuck everywhere
jaksik
I don’t care how my PC looks on the inside. I don’t even care how it looks on the outside. I just want to play

Yeah I see his problem, it should all be wadded up and taped together or zip tied and jammed into the extra drive tray space.

PATA cables were a nightmare 🙂

Oh you mean the generation where PC games actually existed, and console ports really didn’t that much?

If there’s no window on the case then all I care is that nothings touching any fans.

Before pc cases had glass panels.

Why yes I managed to stuff those cables in, why do you ask?

Hey it wasn’t our fault. Cases didn’t have cable management in mind and you had to contend with a íde cable. Even cutting it into thin strips only helped a little bit… It was’t our fault I tells you!
Lunatic3k
As long as cables don’t touch the fans, it’s fiiiiine
YakusActual
Its a generational thing? :O

This isn’t how its supposed to look?

My first build was an 8086. I’ve been building for some 34 years now. There has never been a generation of enthusiasts who would leave a build like that.
That is just someone who doesn’t give a fuck.
Vox289
Is he mid 40’s by chance and used to build 486’s or early pentiums?
Killatonchis
Ngl when I first started in this hobby I was so picky and anal about builds. Now I love to see builds like this. I personally love sleeper builds I want to make my next one in some old pc case with some decent specs I don’t even care if the space is minimal for cable management
Ishaboo
cable management with a non modular PSU was my first reasoning okay?
m0rl0ck1996
I, for one, have always appreciated Lovecraftian inspired cable managment.
PerP1Exe
I must admit I too made the mistake of getting a non modular power supply. To anyone who is yet to buy a psu do not make this mistake it will save you a lot of future hassle
vilius_m_lt
So is his PC..

Not old enough. There is no freak bracket for the Floppy drive.
Pekle-Meow
It isn’t a generation, it’s a type of builder! I was like this before, until I had to change a part that was under everything, now I manage my cable so I don’t lose a whole day to unbuild and build back my computer to change a single part
Hattix
I’m from the generation where if you managed to fit the fucking massive pile of cables bursting out of the PSU into a 5.25″ drive bay out of the way, you were some sort of Elder God.

I thought there was a snake in there for a second
