Literally easy if you have the hands cyberware that shoots a blast of energy on full reload. Empty all rounds before stepping up, reload the gun, clear all targets with a single shot. Repeat, win.

I wonder if the split between “It’s impossible!” and “it’s pretty easy” is console vs PC. Mouse this is cake. Never tried with controller but with the movement lag of the joysticks I could see this being hard.

So in past play throughs I won and got the gun then went on my merry way. But in a recent play through I had done some gigs in the area before I went to do the shooting competition. A couple points during this a random 6th Street was like “hey, do I know you?” or “I think I recognize you”. Then when I completed the competition and got the gun the guy was like “HEY! This is the guy who’s been shooting us up!” and then every 6th Street in the vicinity aggroed me.

I had a cyberware for when I reload from an empty round, next shot sends an electric shock, so I was getting AOE hits which had me beat it easy.

If done this on two different characters on Xbox Series X and honestly it isn’t entirely hard. Make sure to not aim in and just hip fire, wait for the game to make autosaves at certain points if you make a mistake, and if you’re bored and equipped just shoot em up

It’s actually pretty easy as there’s 5 sections with ten targets a piece. As long as you hip fire it pretty easy to swipe side to side, reload and then get the rest.
I managed to do it with no cyber ware though I was using mouse so idk about controller.
Either way if you’ve ever killed a sixth street member before they’re gonna agro anyway so just grab the gun and run if there too many for you.

Is there a way just to take the iconic weapon without the minigame? I tried once before 2.0 dropped. I also got the weapon and used it to non lethally blow them up. Non lethal eye implant is so good. Headshots without a single kill is funny. It’s like how batman doesn’t kill but brutally bruise criminals.

Always talk to them, tell them to enjoy their circlejerk. This completes the quest and won’t mark it as failed. Then climb on top of the tallest nearby buildings, shoot them all and take the gun.
Best outcome I think. Get the gun and kill em all for fat loot. Can’t stand 6th street much anyway. Hypocrites and anti worker enforces, putting down worker strikes with violence. Also their boxing champion is a cheater.
