There are peeps with endless funds who will buy this AND game on it – because if you can afford 5K for a CPU then 2K for a 4090 is pocket change – and you can be guaranteed that there are few games that will CPU bottleneck this monster giving you beautifully playable framerates even though they’re not the most frames.
Is it good gaming value for the money? Obviously not – but those who can afford it don’t give a fuck, in the same way Ferrari drivers don’t give a fuck that your Hyundai i10 is better value for money.

I think most people gaming on insance specs are people like me:
1. Owner of an AI company
2. Uses computer for work and needs insane amounts of RAM/CPU/GPU
3. Chooses my setup to also be compatible with gaming
So I usually endup with specs that simply doesn’t make any sense for gaming or looks like wasting money.

there was that tech deals channel that said more cores is always better, and that the 5600x is a downgrade from a 2700x
