As nvidia’s target audience, can confirm.
Though for me it was just 5 years of saving for an upgrade waiting for someone to release a GPU that would easily handle 1440p completely maxed out at a reasonable price for the performance offered. Came from a 1080ti, the 20 series was a dud, the 3080 seemed promising but was impossible to purchase at retail, then when the 40 series was announced the 4090 was well within my budget and I was able to buy one easily on launch because the crypto hype died down.
By the time I bought the card I had something like $4,500 saved up just for an upgrade and all I did was buy a GPU and a 5800X3D. I expected not to touch anything else for another 6+ years. The cards still the best around a year later and it runs everything I throw at it, couldn’t be happier.
