Wakako or Rogue
I (too) think Rogue and Hands are the most successful fixers (though that doesn’t mean they’re the most trustworthy.) If anyone had the contacts to learn that Saburo Arasaka was visiting that day (and reschedule the heist) it’d be them.
Idk, which one of them can see the future? No one saw it coming so I can’t really blame Dex for it going to shit. The job may have been a bad idea but no one forced us into it.
Regina probably. Only because it seems she tries to fix things for people, not just settle gang debts and steal. If a rat bastard keeps raping dolls, its Regina who’s putting out the hit. She would only go into Arasaka if she had a plan where no one would get left behind.
No one. I doubt any fixer in Night City has access to Saburo‘s schedule (The most powerful man in the world).
Hands considering Rogue is basically an Arasaka pawn. The rest of them besides maybe Wakakko probably wouldn’t even take an op that involves stealing from Arasaka.
Despite the fact that Dex is an amateur-hour fixer, the heist should have gone off as planned. The only hitch in it was that Saburo made an unplanned visit to confront his son.
If any fixer could have planned around that is likely Rogue. And I doubt she would have made the heist a success, but I’m guessing she could have called for a much earlier and safer abort.
That said, I don’t think she would have taken the job in the first place.

Rogue is a tier above everyone else on this list and the only true chance at succeeding. She’s done some of the biggest ops and knows the best mercs to fill out the team.
Don’t think it’s possible honestly. The whole place goes on lockdown so unless you were gonna rappel out of the building secretly or somehow find a hidey hole I just don’t see it as an option. Unless the theft was NOT at the hotel.

Definitely Rogue then Mr hands. 3rd would be wako because of her Tygers and as we know Tygers and Saka are in beds together. 4th I’m voting would be Dakota or Regina. Dakota has ties to aldercados and they have a good netrunner there so they could make a quick Intel klepping. And Regina? Even if the heist goes sideways she can try to use her media tricks to make it sound like it wasn’t them.

I feel the heist was a setup from the beginning- You were there because someone wanted you there, as a witness to what went down. Thus, the only people who could really change the outcome was whoever was in on it- Saburo, Yorinobu, the AI, or Mr. Blue Eyes- there are a fair number of theories, but the only person who could really change the outcome was the puppetmaster.
Who almost certainly is not on the list above.
Rogue, Hands, Wakako, and Dino. In that order. Either way, any of the fixers we know in the game are immediately 10x better than Dex in all departments except for stupidity.
V did and he was a nobody then. Plenty of mercs could have. He even survived the ordeal before getting betrayed.
To pull it off unnoticed? Any team with Songbird as the runner would have had a chance. She might have had a chance to not get made and provide support after opening the doors. Or take control of the elevator. T-Bug was alright, but she really lost the ball there.
As for those fixers, probably Rogue. Despite the game hyping Deshawn, she was the queen of the afterlife with the best intel. She would have gotten a better runner, too.
Only Rogue would get the job done right. However, she would never take the job because she’s long past the part in here life where she’s going to be taking stupid risks for questionable rewards.
I think Rogue will do it the best, she got intel and history on Arasaka. Probably an inside connection too, she wouldn’t miss the possibility of Suburo’s Arrival

The flaw in Dex’s plan is that it had very little redundancy or margin for error. The Flathead had to be swapped to manual control after getting stuck, wasn’t able to pick the lock it was supposed to pick, and there was no contingency for if the dweller was brought back into play early, or if Yorinubi returned to the penthouse, or if they lost track of Yorinobu… T-Bug and V were able to troubleshoot the Flathead issues, but once the team reached the penthouse the only choices were to see it through or scrub the op, which no one was willing to do.
The issue wasn’t that Dex couldn’t have anticipated Saburo’s murder, but rather that his plan made few allowances for unanticipated problems. Dex was coming out of exile and needed a big win to re-establish the brand he tarnished by (presumably) playing fast and loose two years ago; the other, established Fixers wouldn’t have had the incentive to oversee such a high-risk job.
Any team that didnt have Jackie.

I think the point is moot because real fixers wouldn’t have touched this.
Who was Parker? A hooker with a half baked plan that was in bed with the VDBs. Hands would’ve sniffed that out pretty quickly and Rouge/Wakako probably wouldn’t touch this from how sketchy it was and the massive risk.
It’s out of the wheelhouse for the rest of these guys.
Wakako or Mr Hands. Wakako has connection to the Tyger Claws(there are rumors that she’s one of it’s leaders) and, through them, Arasaka. She has many contacts with both groups. Probably knew of Saburo’s arrival way before. Probably knew staff in the hotel that she could convince to help with the heist. Probably knew of ways around the hotel’s various security systems too since it’s owned by Arasaka.

Mr Hands seems to be very professional and often takes the initiative to help V out even before V asks for it. He seems to have many connections with people in high places seeing as how he was able to help register V for various places like Dogtown and some others. He might not be as good as Rouge, but he at least genuinely seems to have V’s back unlike Rouge who only seems to care about the job. If the heist were to still mess up, at least we know that he might prioritize V and Jackie’s safety over the mission.
Probably hands.
It went to shit becuEe they got shot up by air support and fell like 40 feet. Do we even know for sure if Jackie was shot or got a puncture wound from something else? Anyone could have died from this scenario.

I reckon it’s whoever knows netrunners better than T-Bug. It took her hours to break through the ICE after neutralising the netrunners. If she’d finished even 10 minutes earlier, the heist would have been successful and they’d have left the building before the Arasakas arrived.
But lets imagine T-Bug did it as well as any other netrunner could have. I reckon Rogue, Hands, and Wako would have had their finger Bon the pulse to figure out that Saburo was coming into town, and to do the heist before he arrived, or afterwards. The fact that Dex completely missed that Saburo and Hanako were on a boat docked in NC and failed to take that into account in his plans was a colossal fuckup on his part. The other fixers would have likely handled the sale of the relic themselves due to how much was at stake, and wouldn’t want to get ripped off by Evelyn (who was totally going to just sell the thing and run with all the cash).
Wakako wouldn’t touch it. Too dangerous, too many unknowns.

Dakota might try it, but I think she would be upfront about how dangerous it is, and minimize her own involvement. She’d be ready to cut all lines and leave the area at the first sign of things going wrong.
Rogue definitely has the confidence to try, and I think Rogue would only attempt it if she is *very* certain she’s assembled a crew who can pull it off. Hand-vetted professionals, no newbies, top equipment. I think she could do it.
El Capitan I think would be tempted to fuck with a megacorp, but would in the end consider it too dangerous.
Dino I think would definitely give it a go, but I reckon he’d screw it up. The OP would blow up in his face.
Regina would only attempt it if she had a moral reason to. She wouldn’t do this only for money and bragging rights. She might attempt it if she feels it’s something that has to be done for ethical reasons. But like Rogue, I think she would only go forward with it if she’s *very* confident in her crew, and unlike Rogue I’m not sure she can gather that quality of mercs and equipment, so she might decide to let it go.
Mr. Hands is the other fixer who I think might get it done, but he would *definitely* go about it in such a way that even if it goes wrong, he walks away unharmed. He would go through a million middlemen and connections and go-betweens.
Rogue would have done it with style.

Dex hired V and Jackie because they’re disposable.
If Rogue or Mr. Hands did they would hire a better team. No offense but Jackie, while being the best choom, isn’t exactly fit those discreet gigs.

I would love a what-if story if the heist went exactly as planned. Jackie still alive, V with no Johnny. VDBs potentially access Johnny to speak to Alt or Evelyn double crosses them and sells the chip to Kan Tao causing a 3 way fight between Netwatch, Kang Tao and VDBs.

If Rogue chose to take the job, I think he’d have the best chance to pull it off. She’s been a Fixer for years, even if she couldn’t find a hint at Saburo’s arrival, she’d’ve had some kinda backup plan
With how “top of the line” kiroshy optics are they still cant record simple video. Like no matter how good your fixer is if you had stuff on video it would have been a lot eazyer to settle your problems.
Rogue and hands not cause they’d be able to k ow saburo was comeing nobody could possibly yavw foreseen that but they’d have properly scouted arasakas network and been more eprepared so you would’ve gotten in and out befor Yorinobu and saburo entered the room
