First make sure the firmware/bios doesn’t have any wifi whitelisting going on.
Wouldn’t be the first time for Lenovo…

Intel AX210, if you want WiFi 7 you can go for the BE200/BE202 but it’s quite hard to get.

As others said Lenovo does whitelist certain WiFi cards. I Rand into that issue when I was trying to upgrade my old one

Haha upgrade a laptop wifi card…. First time I’ve seen this in 20 years of IT, how odd.

So, why you want to upgrade in the first place? What problem you want to fix, or feature want to use?
Intel NICs are a “safe” pick for most use cases. But they weren’t exactly bulletproof either.
> Intel 7 killer
Ah hell no, less software better. They’re often the exact same hw with their “normal” NICs anyway, but with additional network shaping software. Unless you’re gaming with the same laptop you’re using as torrent seeding or something you aren’t going to see visible benefit.

I too want to know what the best wifi card is on the market. Whats the Radeon 7900 xtx equivalent of a wifi card?
elBirdnose
It’s a wifi card, what’s the point? Do you even have a router that will do faster speeds?
Irisena
If it’s a wifi 5 card or even 6, then just keep it. Practically speaking you won’t see much benefit upgrading it. I wouldn’t suggest an upgrade unless yours is broken.
srijanbastola
if you upgrade it can cause problems such as
network auto disconnect
slow connection bug
bluetooth connection problems
instead buy a usb network adapter

I haven’t seen anyone recommend using a USB-based adapter. That may simplify your needs without requiring you to flash special firmware to gain functionality.
Some offer larger antennas as well which could be useful if signal is spotty.

A Ethernet cord.
