Also, be gentle with the USB 3.0 cable/header as well. I accidentally ripped mine off.

This was also me when I replaced my AMD stock cooler. the pre-applied thermal “pad” is like glue. ripped the cpu out of the socket but thankfully no bent pins

This really is USB 3.0. I’ve never had the problem with the 24 pin but I’ve had to bend back pins after ripped the edge off of the USB 3 header before.

I find its easier to just cut the cable with scissors and plug in a new one?
Anyone else do this?

I had to resort to wedging in a flathead screwdriver and slowly slightly twisting/shifting it millimeter by millimeter until it came off. Took way too long
