I have somewhere this bad ass internal/ external 7.1 audio card that has 1/4″, xlr, and midi jacks in and out. I recorded several CD’s for bands using that dam thing back in the day before mixers had usb. Also before multi GPU was a thing and graphics cards doing sli / grouping mode Matrox tripple head 2 go’s to create crazy 3,6,9 screen systems. To this day, it’s a pretty solid ultra-budget gaming option – it’s Maxwell based, in spite of the name, so is still supported today, and has 2GB of VRAM. It’s around the level of a GT 1030 in terms of performance. And yet, it costs less than $20 used on eBay – sometimes as low as $10 – because there are so many of them being sold off from old workstations.
Obviously, you need to keep your expectations in check – it’s not going to run the latest AAA games – but for basic eSports games like CS2, Battlebit, LoL, Overwatch 2, etc it does pretty well considering it costs less than a ticket to the movies.

For a real answer, I am outdoor legit sad that physics processing cards never became a thing. I get that it makes a ton of sense to package them into a graphics card, but I feel like before nvidia bought out Aegia, we were on the precipice of a new type of card.
