I had been thinking about picking up a 4070, but with this news, I’m going to wait ’til January and see if the 4070 Super is worth getting or just get the 4070 much cheaper than it is now. Rumor is NVIDIA is going for aggressive pricing on the Supers (at or near existing prices of their “vanilla” counterparts).

Took half a year for nvidia to figure out where to buy higher capacity vram chips

Not upgrading the 4070 VRAM is a shame. I feel like a 16gb 4070S can last for a long time to come.

Still trying to figure out what the supposed market for the 4080 super is

How does that 4080S compare to the base version? I thought about trying to get one for when I’ll be upgrading my system, but maybe the 4070 Ti Super will end up making more sense (or even the vanilla 4080).

4070 ti super is interesting… but jesus what a name. the other two seem like a joke.

Is there any news on the mobile front? Where they would do the same thing and launch supers or ti versions.

So 5000 series for 2025? right?

The best part of Amazon is that they have black Friday included in the holiday return window of Jan 31st. So you can buy a black Friday 4080 and then return it if the Super offering is worth it.

is there a super affordable card this line up?

I literally just bought a 4070ti today, coming from a 1660ti. Did I mess up?

Guys you’re welcome.
I just bought my parts and by the law of the universe, it released better alternatives to spite solely me. I’m ok being the sacrifice.

All different binned AD103 chips that they’re rebranding to build excitement. Can’t really hate on it if they’re the same price and the non super variants drop in price. But this is Nvidia so probably price increases.

Thank god for that I was worried they’ve forgotten I still have a kidney left.

Are and pretty much are two different things imo.

I’ve been planning to skip this generation entirely, but if they hit up a 32GB 80 or 90 series… I might have to do some really terrible things for my wife so I can get one. 😛

How many more times will they be confirmed ?
It’s been like a month of non-stop daily 40 series Super cards stories.
