Hey all! I was oc-ing an i3-530 on a h55 board. (Undervolted about 0.025v)
Bclk was stabile at 175 but windows bsod-ed at 180, so i was gonna try 177 which did boot – logged in to windows, moderate sizzling noise – pc shuts off, I turn off the supply, have a look inside and 1 or possibly 2 fets (and a cap) are blown. I will try to fix it, but my main concern is what may have caused it to blow? I doubt it’s the undervolting – maybe weak vrms?
