Got a 3070 GPU with a blown 5 mohm shunt resistor so thought I’d attempt a repair.
Never done anything like this before!
These don’t look right (well, they’re different to what is currently on the 3070 anyway)… Did I just waste £25? Or, could replacing with one of these actually work?

Not really the subreddit to ask for gpu repair. I recommend emailing someone like northridgefix or Louis Rossmann for detailed information on this kinda stuff
There is a high chance the shunt on that card blew up as a symptom not the cause of the problem. You may have a blown up VCore Phase that drew so much current that the shunt burned out. If you replace that shunt and turn it on the same thing might just happen again. And as a bonus there is a substantial chance the core dies every time that happens so make a proper resistance check on everything before you turn that on.
