First clip is me being shot in the elbow with level 3 vest and level 2 helmet and full health. 1 shot lil over 100m drops me so I decide the hype on the Kar98k must be real. Run it in another match (second clip) and throat a guy under 100m who had level 2 top and bottom. That guy scampered off like he never got blasted…… How come???

First clip of death cam is not accurate in what you are seeing. The killfeed shows he killed you with a headshot. Do you have clip of him shooting you from your perspective? It should say he killed you by headshot in the text. Your clip you put it right on his chest, likely causing a good amount of damage but not a knock if he was full health.
You should go to pubglookup.com and check the statistics for each match. Theres great info like how much damage you did/where you hit the enemy. I’ve used it in the past many times to check how low I got some enemy I thought should’ve been knocked. Learned about K9 neckshots long ago there. Highly recommend it!
