A spot just over your scalp is as bad as a flashlight under your chin like the prop you use for scary campfire stories.
Play with poses a bit and if you do not use mods, pro-tip: Use an action pose with muzzle flash, it lights your V quite nice!

It was a spell on Skyrim that lit up your characters face 24/7 so it wouldn’t look weird in shadows. Wasn’t very realistic, but you could turn it off.
