I’m pretty sure all arm and leg cybernetics are complete prosthetics – meaning they chop off your complete limbs and stick on the large leg/arm cybernetics.
You can actually see this in action if you rip off a cybernetic limb from an enemy. Instead of regular blood it will leak out this white cybernetic liquid.
