I currently don’t have windows 10 activated on my pc, I found this Window 11 home sealed at an Amazon bins store for $1.50. I’m thinking of installing windows 11 through the update settings and trying the key that came with this. It has a usb installer but I’m really sketched out. What are your opinions on this? Should I try?

If you don’t want to use the provided USB drive, you can make your own bootable Windows 11 USB drive and use the key instead
It shouldn’t be unsafe and dodgy USB media is made up of far more online noise than real world threat.

Fair enough on being weary of thr USB but it’s worth trying the windows key. Worst can happen is the key doesn’t work. It will literally either activate windows or just give you an error. The key itself can’t harm your PC

I can confirm that those come direct from Microsoft with a USB stick installer. If it was sealed you are probably fine … not every usb stick is the DEVIL!?!@?!

This is why I buy grey keys and don’t think twice about it. If this is legit original seal, everyone (including me in the past) is a fool for paying full price on windows.

If you cannot verify the authenticity of a USB stick, DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES PLUG IT INTO A PC. Even if you have determined it’s not a killer USB stick, you have no clue what is on it. Wars have quite literally been won (well, averted) by idiots plugging random USB sticks into airgapped systems.

I mean it’s the original box so assuming the key isn’t used, go for it. I’ll echo everyone else though and say to make a bootable Win11 and just use the code
