I sit in this most days if not every day for 6+ hours

  1. I think it still looks solid for 3 years of use. Quality chair.

  2. MonPaysCesHiver

Its the brand of chair i had in my whole life. Very robust.

  3. NovaHorizon

Opted for a cheap used but good as new Hayworth Zody. Best decision I’ve ever made and a worthy competitor to a Steelcase or Herman Miller.

  4. Griffemon

Secret Lab’s a pretty decent chair, especially given the price point. Something like a Herman Miller is of course way better but also more expensive unless you can find a used one

  5. RanInThaCut

I think it chair upgrade time. Been using a cheap one for about a year

  6. LimpyDan

The seat cushion on mine went to shit. Everything else is fine, but the seat leather(?) peeled away in places, showing the foam.

  7. OT: Dont buy gaming chairs. Buy a quality office chair.

BTT: Seems to be decent quality.

  8. Figthing_Hussar

I’ve had mine for just over 2 years and it still looks great! I’ve Herman Miller before and it just wasn’t right for me. I’ve returned it and bought SecretLab chair.

  9. pchadrow

I’ve got a DXRacer I bought in early 2018 that’s still in great shape aside from some minor cat scratches

  10. STGItsMe

TIL SL puts a year tag on their chairs. Mine is also a 2020 that I got for my switch to full time WFH plus my usual gaming. Looks the same.

I have a HM Aeron too, but I prefer the SL

  11. UltraBobbins

I’ve had my Secret Lab for roughly five years and the polyurethane coating on the seat has only relatively recently started to crack.

  12. Scorpius202

Well.. You probably didn’t sit on it naked like the other guy…

  13. Ninja___Potato

Mine has been holding up for 3 years as well. The armrests have cracked on one side but secretlab customer support sent me a new armrest for free.

  14. Wooden_Marshmallow

3 years and you don’t have any questionable stains? You must take really good care of your chair

  15. Dropping such cash on a chair seems so hard to do. But I would be the first person to know how sucky a crappy chair is, well if I can even consider mine one.

  16. sickdershit

It seems like you dont eat a lot Tacobell neither drink Monster Energy i guess

  17. trevgood95

I’m still using the Walmart Ubercrap meshback office chair that I’ve had for 3 years. I really need an upgrade.

  18. sapiensloth

I got the cloth version at the start of 2020 and still looks fresh out of the box. They are expensive but tbh the quality is worth it. Considering ordering one of their desks soon.

  19. StewGoFast

Clearly you aren’t using your hairy ass as sandpaper on the chair..

  20. SirLlamaGeddon

Yep my cloth or w/e the premium fabric is is holding up well after 2 years of constant use!

  21. Rimagrim

For what it’s worth, I have the cloth Omega and it’s held up very well for 2 years of constant 10 hours/day use. I’ve taken a chunk out of one of the arm rests by constantly rubbing it against a corner of a cabinet but those are replaceable and it’s completely on me. Good office chairs are better ergonomically but the build quality on these is completely fine.

  22. Why do gaming seats have huge bolsters on them? They are completely pointless and really only necessary in fast cars to keep you in position whilst cornering right?

  23. MrBobSacamano

Things wear better if you take care of them. Had a Secret Lab Titan (pleather version).l; only minimal wear on the seat after 5 years.

  24. MHWGamer

it’s funny that this is even a topic at all. My Ikea Markus is now also at least 3 years old and it looks basically the way I bought it. My ass cheeks probably let a dent in the cushion but it isn’t seeable.
Even my cheapo office chair before looked like new because the fabric isn’t the cheapest shit available.
Or you guys just have toxic asses lol

  25. I’m on year 3 with my cloth one, it has held up great. No complaints

  26. Superturtle_23

I’ve had mine for 4.5 years, bought it for $120 barely used. Best purchase I’ve made. It’s still in near perfect condition

  27. I have that exact same one at work and a 2019ish Titan at home. I love them both. I replaced the wheels with those [roller blade wheels](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01G643EU6)… Which are awesome on carpet. A little freewheeling on hard surface unless you have an anchor like a footrest.

  28. macbookpro16inMax

My noble chair from 2016 looks in better shape than this. Well worth the 500 I paid back then… SOme people dont realize these companies make cheap version and good quality versions…

  29. Unseen_Cereal

I bought my DXracer in 2017 before realizing a good, breathable office chair is almost always a better choice.

It’s held up amazingly well, considering I don’t take exceptional care of it.

  30. SparsePizza117

I used to have a gaming chair until my back was getting in so much pain from it, that I literally didn’t want to use it. Got an ergonomic office chair and it’s far better for my back.

  31. Is this a response to that other dude, who’s ass is made of gravel?

  32. real_unreal_reality

Seeing all the comments for cloth vs leather/plastic I’m opting for cloth next time.

  33. or10n_sharkfin

I’ve had the Razer Iskur since the end of 2021. A lot of people give it and the company shit for QC issues, but I’m close to the upper weight-limit threshold and the chair still hasn’t failed on me.

I also spent half the price due to a work accommodation certificate while I was working for Best Buy.

  34. SteelStorm33

my chair is about a decade old and made of wood and leather.

  35. FanaticDamen

I have the softweave, for the same duration. Not even a hint of wear or tear.

    Highly recommend secret labs.
