Well if you use that, and your CPU temps are bombing hard…. Then you know it’s fake. If the temps look good, then it’s the real deal.
All this assuming you have an adequate cooler for your CPU.
I’ve never seen fake thermal paste in my life
Look closer at that Hardware sticker. If the small letters are pure gibberish instead of German, it’s guaranteed to be counterfeit.
How does it taste?
No. It is not elastic like cheese. It’s viscous like a paste.
Even if it is fake, almost nothing will happen as it shouldn’t make contact with anything but metal parts.
i have an mx 6, and if by elastic you mean that they should be easily spreadable no their not, at least arctic thermal paste. I have applied cooler master and mx 6 in the same day on different builds, and coolermaster was spreading like cream while mx 6 wasnt even moving!!
Not sure why idiots are acting like there’s no such thing as fake thermal paste. There absolutely is.
hey as long as the taste is good enough I don’t really care tbh!
my mx4 have same elasticity as your image, so its probably real. Mx4 isnt runny/watery or spreads on its own. it only spreads when manually spreaded or under pressure.
They have a way to check: https://authenticity.arctic.de//
Who knows? Might be some old package? It says recommended by 05/2016..so it might be just expired.
In my country, if the MX4 comes in a little bag its likely a fake. The genuines come in a little box. Be careful.
I buy it few days ago and it doesn’t look like this 😂😂 Wtf even thermal paste can be fake 😂
Well, going by that website it does look fake to me. The “real” package has a much shinier foil appearance especially in the silver part.
I don’t know man. It’s crazy to me that someone would fake a thermal compound but MX4 is probably still one of the most popular ones on the market. So I guess if they were going to fake one this would be it. If it is fake the store owner probably got screwed on a too good to be true deal.
I read that you’re planning to use it in a GPU. I wouldn’t want to take it apart again either. If spending the cash on another one isn’t a big deal I would try and get something else. Just to make sure it’s right the first time. Maybe order something else online if you can. Thermal Grizzly, Kingpin KPX, and Noctua NTH1 are all solid compounds that I would use again. Or maybe even the new Arctic MX-6 is something they haven’t got around to faking yet.
I guess just about anything gets faked nowadays, even Redditors imaginary girlfriend’s orgasms.
Just use toothpaste like the rest of us…the rest of us ARE using toothpaste, right?
Spanish is butchered on that package as well. “Jugones” will never be a translation for “gamers”
There are fake thermal pastes?
Yes. Mazda never made and mx-4.
This is fake.
